About the Role (your why)  

The Associate Director - Strategic Propositions is a senior leadership role responsible for driving business growth through innovative solution development, technical leadership, and strategic customer engagement. This position sits at the intersection of market strategy, technical solutions, product development, and revenue generation to maintain Datacom’s competitive advantage.

What you’ll do   

The Associate Director - Strategic Propositions is responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Lead high-value enterprise customer engagements to test emerging products and propositions.
  • Implement a structured approach to solution demonstrations, proof of concept development, and business case creation.
  • Research customer trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to assist Strategy and the Lines of Business in identifying new product or service opportunities.
  • Craft compelling messages that communicate the unique benefits of our offerings.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to ensure offerings align with the overall proposition and customer needs.
  • Work with Marketing, Sales Enablement, and the GTM teams to develop and execute plans to launch and promote propositions across channels.
  • Track the success of propositions with Marketing, Sales Enablement, and Product to measure customer engagement, sales, and profitability.
  • Represent the organization at executive-level client engagements and industry forums.

What you’ll bring

Required experience:

  • 15+ years' experience delivering technology solutions, including at least 7 years in senior leadership roles.
  • Deep insight into customer needs, motivations, and pain points, and the ability to translate insights into compelling value propositions and strategic direction.
  • Proven ability to research, analyze, and interpret market trends and competitive activity.
  • Track record of building strong relationships and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, product development).
  • Executive-level understanding of enterprise and SMB customer business challenges and the technology solutions landscapes that address them.
  • Advanced mastery of solution-selling methodologies.
  • Ability to translate product/service features into clear, compelling customer benefits and align messaging accordingly.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft compelling value propositions and concise messaging for target audiences.
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills at the C-suite level.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of translating technology capabilities into measurable business outcomes.
  • Change leadership experience in complex organizational environments.
  • Advanced consultative selling and negotiation capabilities.
