Key Responsibilities
Research
- Cover assigned sectors through meetings with top management, industry consultants, and regulators to gain a deeper understanding of company and industry specific issues, as well as future prospects.
- Build detailed financial models for companies and industries, and produce initiation reports, weekly company/sector updates, and semi-annual thematic reports focused on key trends.
- Conduct weekly client calls to highlight the latest research reports, discuss key insights, and address client concerns and queries.
- Produce bi-annual thematic reports on assigned sectors and proactively market them to clients.
- Conduct teach-in sessions for new buy-side analysts or portfolio managers assuming sector coverage responsibilities.
- Meet and present to investors during global marketing trips to Singapore, Hong Kong, Europe, and the United States.
- Adhere to the weekly publication schedule set by the Research Department by providing timely updates on companies and sectors under coverage, particularly when there are significant news developments.
- Proactively arrange and facilitate regular corporate access opportunities for clients.
- Utilize Equitec research and client management systems to meet KPI requirements.
- Organize Non-Deal Roadshows (NDRs) for corporates to meet investors and accompany investors on Reverse Roadshows to meet companies.
- Provide research support and services to the Group.
- Cover Singapore-listed companies, particularly within the REIT sector, as assigned by the Head of Research.
- Expand coverage to other sectors as directed by the Head of Research.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure all research reports and communications with internal and external stakeholders comply with Group, local, and regional regulatory requirements.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable compliance requirements, as well as research policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
- Capital Markets Services Representative’s Licence (required for the role).
- Relevant experience as an Investment Analyst within an established bank or financial institution.
- Strong understanding of the current landscape and evolution of the covered sectors.
- Excellent financial modelling skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to produce actionable thematic, sector, and company deep-dive research reports.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
- Capital Markets Services Representative's Licence
- Relevant experience as an Investment Analyst within an established bank or financial institution
