Olo is looking for a driven, detail-oriented Event Marketing leader to support revenue growth with prospective and current customers, as well as building brand reputation and business relationships with investors, partners, and other internal and external stakeholders. 


Reporting to the Sr. Director of Performance Marketing, the Associate Director, Events will be heavily focused on planning and managing best-in-class Olo branded events, trade industry events, and key meetings in support of the overall goals and objectives of the organization's Go-to-Market teams. Our ideal candidate is a strategic self-starter, and has demonstrated experience with large-scale external and internal events, including ideation, detailed planning, logistics management, pre and post event campaigns, including measurement and actionable insights.

What You'll Do

  • Lead event strategy, management, and execution for Beyond4 and other Olo brand customer and prospect events as well as sponsored trade conferences, and small-format regional events
  • Lead event strategy for Olo branded meetings including Partner Forum, Investor Day, President’s Club and more 
  • Oversee all elements of plan building and project management 
  • Build executive-level decks to present event plans and results to Olo leadership members and cross-function GTM team members
  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer teams to coordinate event logistics, including sponsorship packages, attendee registrations, travel logistics, etc.
  • Oversee all aspects of pre and post event marketing campaigns and partner with Content+Creative teams to develop all event deliverables
  • Source and deliver on-brand promotional items and event SWAG
  • Budget building and management for all events 
  • Event partner relationships, scopes and contract management 
  • Post event recaps including partnering with Marketing Operations to track and report leads, new business pipeline and event ROI
  • Strategic recommendations for enhancing future events
  • Travel for site visits, venue selections, set ups, and event management 

What We'll Expect From You

  • 5+ years of event management experience (B2B tech/SaaS a plus)
  • Demonstrated experience owning/executing all aspects of mid/large-scale (500+ attendees) branded events, live and virtual, with a focus on logistics planning and execution in a destination convention venue
  • Demonstrated experience owning/executing all aspects of industry trade events from sponsorship package negotiation through event ROI recaps
  • Experience in internal corporate event coordination 
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with other GTM functions to manage pre and post event campaigns across marketing channels
  • Demonstrated experience with CRM, event management, and marketing software (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce, Cvent, etc.)
  • Understanding of contract negotiations and strategies for all event aspects 
  • Ability to analyze effectiveness of events, sponsorships & programs including measurement and ROI
  • Experience in leading teams or the desire to lead a team
  • Strong organization skills and project management experience
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and expenses
  • Proven ability to build and manage complex schedules and timelines
  • Proven ability to balance strategic and tactical skills 
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 30-40%
  • Legal right to work in the U.S.
