Job Description

Epworth Richmond is seeking an experienced and inspirational nursing leader to join our Executive Leadership Team as Associate Director of Clinical Services (ADCS), full time.

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, this pivotal role is responsible for leading clinical nursing services, driving operational excellence, enhancing patient outcomes, and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous improvement. The ADCS plays a critical role in ensuring exceptional patient experiences while supporting strategic growth and service development across Epworth Richmond.

You will make an impact by:

  • Leading and inspiring nursing and multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient-centred care and outstanding clinical outcomes.
  • Driving clinical governance, quality improvement, risk management and accreditation standards across clinical services.
  • Optimising workforce, financial and operational performance, including patient flow, length of stay, staffing and resource management.
  • Building strong partnerships with clinicians, leaders and key stakeholders to support growth, innovation and service development.

Qualifications

You will have:

Essential Qualifications

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Postgraduate qualification in Nursing, Leadership, Healthcare Management, Business or a related discipline (or currently undertaking)
  • Membership of relevant professional associations

Experience

  • Extensive acute healthcare experience
  • Significant experience in a senior nursing leadership role
  • Strong clinical governance, quality and risk management expertise
  • Demonstrated financial, operational and workforce management capability
  • Experience leading organisational change and service improvement initiatives

Key Capabilities

  • Exceptional leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong business and commercial acumen
  • Ability to inspire, coach and develop future leaders
  • Proven success in driving patient experience and quality outcomes
