The TELUS Health Communication & Change Management Solutions team is responsible for advising clients on all aspects of communication and change management related to health, pension, and benefits programs (pension and savings plans, benefits and wellness programs, compensation, absence and disability management, and employee assistance programs).
We are looking for an agile and creative communication specialist to join our team. The Associate Consultant will help bring our clients’ HR programs and initiatives to life. If you are someone who enjoys transforming complex ideas into simple, engaging content, providing strategic communication advice, and ensuring projects run smoothly and efficiently, read on. You will be based out of Canada but will be supporting some of the globe's leading companies. You will be working with senior decision makers in human resources to execute on the communication strategies you help develop. It’s challenging, meaningful and fast-paced work. This is a remote position with the option for in-person attendance in a TELUS Health office, if available in your area.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with our senior team members to deliver end-to-end communication solutions for our clients
  • Creating content for various audiences and media, including: newsletters, infographics, posters, booklets, videos, presentations, eMags and websites
  • Creating accurate budgets and realistic timelines – and managing both through project completion
  • Managing vendors (e.g. graphic designers, digital specialists, translators, printers) – including obtaining quotes, coordinating activities, managing against project timeline, and ensuring quality delivery
  • Evaluating and measuring the effectiveness of communication – through surveys, focus groups, online statistics and other channels
  • Contributing to meetings with internal colleagues and external clients
  • Researching and recommending ways to enhance our processes and services

Required education/experience:

  • Comfort in a remote work environment
  • Post secondary degree in communication, journalism, public relations, or a related field
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience working in a communication-related field

Required skills:

  • Exceptional writing and communication skills – both technical and creative
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into simple, engaging content
  • Exceptional project management skills – with experience managing vendors, timelines, and budgets
  • Strong client focus and business acumen
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while ensuring strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to work both independently and in a team setting

Additional (valued) assets:

  • Knowledge of or experience communicating about HR programs (benefits, pension, wellness, total rewards, etc.)
  • Experience in a consulting environment
  • Experience creating strategy and content for digital media – e.g. videos, apps, microsites
  • Working knowledge of French
