Our Exciting Opportunity
We are looking for a Mechanical Developer to create leading-edge mechanical solutions for 5G Wireless Networks Products. Your role will include all development activities such as requirement analysis, mechanical architecture design, mechanical design, assembly integration, verification, simulations, Product Lifecycle Management support and product documentation. Our focus is on Lean and Agile ways of working. We coordinate in multi-functional development teams in which continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing is part of the daily work.
What you will do:
- Drive strategic technical leadership
- Perform continuous analysis and requirement handling.
- Develop, Design, Document and test high quality mechanical piece parts and assemblies
- Perform trouble shooting and customer support Drive continuous improvements of products and processes
- Develop competence in technical domain
What you will bring:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree - Mechanical Engineering.
- 6+ years of proven experience.
- Experience with Mechanical Design for Outdoor Plant Equipment experience.
- Experience with Product development knowledge and Product Lifecycle Management knowledge.
- Experience with PTC Windchill/CREO3/CREO4.
- Experience with Design Experience - Die Casting, Injection Molding, Sheet Metal, Design for Outdoor Environments.
- Experience with Design of Wireless Networks Infrastructure.
- Experience with Mechanical Product Introduction and Volume Ramp, Quality Engineering and Qualification.
- Experience with Thermal and FEA Simulation, Thermal and Structural Testing experience
- Working with people and networking.
- Innovating, adapting, and responding to change.
- Delivering results and meeting customer expectations.
- Planning and organizing.
- Willingness/Ability to Travel to Manufacturing and Supplier Sites across Europe, Asia, and North America

Your Pay
The salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
The salary range for this position is:
Ottawa: $101,500 - $133,350
Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan (select if STV): Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Your Financial Security
We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. Ericsson's Group Retirement & Savings Program offers an automatic 2% company contribution into the Pension Plan. Ericsson also offers a 50% match of employee's contribution into the Registered Retirement Savings Plan, up to 8% of the employee's contribution (maximum of 4% match). This leads to a total company contribution potential of 6%. Employees will also receive basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage at two-times annual base pay at no cost, as well as short-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson's Stock Purchase Plan.
Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 18 days of accrued vacation, plus at least 3personal days, minimum 10 holidays, 1 volunteer day, and sick days. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 10 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
