About Us

Legora is redefining how legal work gets done. Not built for lawyers, built with them. We work alongside the world’s best legal teams, who expect excellence, precision, and speed, and we hold ourselves to the same bar.
Our AI-native workspace lets legal professionals move faster, think more clearly, and operate with sharper precision. By analysing thousands of documents in minutes and powering end-to-end workflows, we cut through complexity, teams can focus on what matters: judgment, strategy, and outcomes.
1,000+ customers across 50+ countries trust us, including Cleary Gottlieb, Goodwin, Linklaters, White & Case, Dentons, and Barclays. We’ve scaled to $100M+ in ARR, with teams across Europe, North America and APAC, and continue to expand through acquisitions including Qura, Walter AI and Graceview.
We partner with world-class performers: including Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees, Ludvig Åberg (and his caddie), and campaigns featuring Jude Law.
Joining Legora means three things.

  • We lean in: ownership over titles, outcomes over intentions.

  • We fight for excellence: high standards, direct, ego-free feedback.

  • We grow together: as a team and with our customers.

Mission before ego. Everyone contributes. No one coasts.

If you’re driven by impact, pace, and raising the bar. This is the place.

About the role

Legal work is being reshaped by AI faster than most firms can measure. Our AI Transformation & Applied Research function exists to close that gap: we study how lawyers and legal teams actually adopt, trust, and build skill with AI, and we turn that evidence into changes across our product, customer enablement, and go-to-market motion.

As an Applied Researcher on the team, you will bring rigor to how we measure adoption and capability growth, not just usage. You'll design the studies, build the instruments, and work the data yourself, then translate what you find into recommendations that product, customer success, and leadership can act on. This is a hands-on, mid-level role for someone who wants to do the analysis personally rather than only oversee it, while still being trusted to shape what we study next.

You'll sit close to real legal teams and real deployments, so the questions you're answering are grounded in what's actually happening in firms today, not hypothetical adoption curves.

Responsibilities
  • Design and run mixed-methods studies on how lawyers and legal professionals build real proficiency with AI tools, distinguishing genuine capability growth from surface-level usage.

  • Build and validate the surveys, interview protocols, and quantitative measures the team relies on, so findings hold up to scrutiny from product, customer, and executive stakeholders.

  • Analyze usage and outcome data directly, using standard research tooling, to surface patterns in how adoption succeeds or stalls across different firms and practice areas.

  • Translate research findings into concrete recommendations for product features, onboarding, and customer enablement programs, working closely with product managers, customer success, and engineering.

  • Communicate findings clearly through written reports, presentations, and dashboards that inform decisions made by the Director and wider leadership.

  • Help prioritize what to study next, balancing depth on a few high-value questions against breadth across a fast-moving customer base.

You may be a good fit if you have
  • A research background in applied social science, human-computer interaction, organizational psychology, or a closely related quantitative/qualitative methods discipline.

  • Solid mixed-methods skills: survey design, basic psychometrics, structured interviewing, and the judgment to pick the right method for the question at hand.

  • Hands-on technical ability in Python and data analysis, comfortable enough to run your own analyses without needing to hand off to a data team.

  • Experience running applied research inside a large, complex organization, or a similar enterprise technology environment.

  • Comfort working with messy, real-world adoption data from customers rather than clean experimental datasets.

  • Strong written and verbal communication, with a track record of getting research findings actually used by product and business stakeholders.

  • Genuine interest in how AI is changing professional work, and specifically legal work.

Strong candidates may also have
  • Experience designing or running experimentation frameworks (A/B testing) in a product or enterprise software context.

  • Prior exposure to legal, professional services, or other expertise-driven industries where trust and correctness matter as much as speed.

  • Experience partnering directly with customers to understand adoption barriers, rather than working from second-hand data alone.

  • Published or internal writing on skill development, technology adoption, or human-AI collaboration.

  • Comfort operating in a smaller, faster-moving company after time at a larger organization.
