Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a proactive, experienced, and results-driven Associate Manager – Transportation Services to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth, efficient, and compliant operation of our Sutherland employees transportation services across Jamaica and Colombia, with a strong focus on supporting night operations and addressing real-time challenges.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing, monitoring transportation systems and vendor performance, addressing escalations from employees, and driving continuous improvement across transportation operations. This role requires a high level of ownership, sound judgment, and the ability to lead and coordinate across multiple geographies and stakeholders.

 

Key responsabilities:

  • Lead the night shift operations for transportation services in Jamaica and Colombia, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery.
  • Supervise and support Transportation Specialists; serve as their primary escalation point.
  • Monitor the transportation app and vendor performance dashboards to ensure system health, cost and service quality.
  • Respond to and resolve high-priority issues or employee escalations in real time.
  • Liaise with transportation vendors to ensure adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, gaps, or opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior management to update and implement transportation policies and procedures.
  • Own documentation of incidents, tracking metrics, and reporting for audit or leadership reviews.
  • Participate in hiring, training, and development of the transportation team.
  • Partner with other departments (HR, Facilities, Security) to align transportation services with broader organizational goals.
  • Drive employee satisfaction by ensuring a safe, reliable, and user-friendly transportation experience.
  • Be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays, or late evenings when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Operations, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in transportation, operations, or people management.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must be bilingual (English and Spanish) to support both geographies effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation management systems and operational workflows.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Advances Excel), Google Workspace, or similar tools.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to work during night shifts or as required.
  • Availability to work on weekends and public holidays.
  • Willingness to operate outside of regular business hours.
  • Power BI, Data Analysis skills are a plus
