Team Overview
The Associate DevOps Engineer will assist in provisioning, monitoring, and maintaining Neustar commercial services. The successful candidate should have a basic understanding of systems engineering and cloud automation, be a critical thinker, and possess scripting skills to automate repeatable tasks. Additionally, the candidate must be organized with good communication skills and a mindset for continuous improvement. This role requires participation in an On-Call rotation. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation, configuration, and delivery of cloud infrastructure environments using automation best practices.
- Support the automation of infrastructure builds in cloud environments.
- Assist in providing technology assessments in support of automation and migration to cloud.
- Support the automation of operational processes.
- Help maintain and monitor production and non-production systems, ensuring platforms perform efficiently and securely.
- Assist in ensuring compliance, legal, infosec, and privacy concerns are addressed in deployed product components.
- Support the automation of the full SDLC lifecycle process for application and infrastructure as code workloads.
- Assist in automating business continuity/disaster recovery processes.
- Participate in rotational 24x7 on-call duties.
- Assist in root cause analysis for service performance incidents.
Required Knowledge And Experiences
- Basic understanding of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles and experience with infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like Kubernetes YAML, Helm, or Terraform.
- Familiarity with monitoring and debugging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Kubectl).
- Basic understanding of core Kubernetes concepts, including pods, services, volumes, deployments, operators, and stateful sets.
- Cloud experience (AWS or GCP) - preferred.
- Linux environments working experience - preferred.
- Windows environments working experience - preferred.
