The Role

Responsible for assisting in the configuration and the daily administrative support of vendor hosted applications. Provides hands-on technical support and configuration of the application. Must understand the needs of the business and be able to assist in managing those needs and requirements in support of multiple business groups' user administration and system configuration requests.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Review minor business enhancement requests, requirements, interdependencies, potential risks, user stories, business process descriptions, use cases, user stories, and workflow analysis Provide ongoing daily support for vendor hosted applications
  • Works independently and with team members to resolve incidents and problems for the production application in accordance with identified Service Level Agreements Assists in analyzing application related problems, coordinating with multiple in-house teams to diagnose and fix operational issues
  • Collaborate with other team members on specialized features and functions
  • Participate in continuous performance improvement sessions to review and discuss opportunities to improve processes, standards and application efficiencies.
  • Review and test enhancements assigned to team members when required
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of functional and technical documentation
  • Follow established corporate configuration and change control processes
  • Assist with engaging/working with vendor on application outage escalations, application upgrade support, application performance and support case monitoring.
  • Assist with monthly operational reporting to senior management.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Ability to identify measures or indicators of application performance and the actions needed to improve or correct application performance.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, uncertainty, and incomplete information when evaluating alternatives and making recommendations.
  • Ability to work seamlessly within a team as well as manage individual tasks.
  • Creative and abstract thinking skills to envision and design innovative solutions to business opportunities and challenges.
  • Proven ability to work independently; developing and deploying solutions, and to deliver projects on time.
  • Ability to listen and evaluate all opinions without bias, and contribute to a common culture of excellence.
  • Technical knowledge of Information Technology field and computer systems. Strong communication skills (written, interpersonal, presentation), with the ability to effectively interact and negotiate with business stakeholders.
  • Ability to pick up complex concepts and processes quickly.
  • Proven leadership abilities including ability to share knowledge, resolve conflict and create consensus.


Required Education

  • BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field or equivalent work experience.


Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years

  • Experience with application administration, Development Experience a plus - 1
  • Experience with configuration and testing - 1


WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Office environment. Travel as required.
