• Support the development and execution of trade strategies in alignment with Line Management direction.
• Assist in achieving P&L targets through commercial initiatives such as cargo mix and corridor optimization.
• Coordinate with country teams to implement marketing plans and ensure alignment with trade objectives.
• Communicate company updates, policies, and procedures to internal stakeholders and sales channels.
• Analyze customer segments (e.g., BCOs, forwarders, short-term and long-term customers) to support targeted business development.
• Monitor customer performance and assist in maintaining tier structures to enhance customer loyalty.
• Collect and analyze trade volume data to assess market positioning and trends.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis to support trade performance and strategy adjustments.
• Assist in pricing activities by gathering data on market conditions, utilization, and customer insights.
• Support tender management processes in line with company guidelines.
• Help maintain tariff structures, surcharges, and other revenue streams such as demurrage and local charges.
• Monitor sales pipelines and booking trends to support vessel utilization optimization.
• Work closely with Country Trade teams to track performance and support sales initiatives.
• Prepare reports, analysis, and presentations for management review.
Requirements• Minimum 5 years of experience in the shipping, logistics, or supply chain industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
• Exposure to trade management, pricing, or commercial functions is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and support decision-making.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with BI tools or data analytics platforms is a plus.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks under tight timelines.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn with a growth mindset.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese (Mandarin is an advantage).
