Team Overview
Dynamics of the RoleTransUnion is currently recruiting for a dynamic Senior Consultant, Risk Management that will be responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of the enterprise risk management function across TransUnion Hong Kong. The Senior Consultant, Risk Management will also be responsible for identifying and assessing risks to our organization and driving the implementation of remediation plans to avoid, reduce or transfer risk.
In this fast-paced role the Senior Consultant, Risk Management will work with our wider risk & regulatory teams, engaging with stakeholders to drive development and improvement of risk management and culture, in alignment with our business strategy and risk appetite. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
Create, document and implement the Risk Management Framework, processes and procedures across TransUnion Hong Kong.
Undertake reviews of risk themes, regulatory topics, processes, projects or business activities to identify potential risks and issues
Prepare papers, reports and dashboards for risk governance committees
Work with business stakeholders to find solutions and ensure material risks and issues are appropriately addressed
Support regulatory interactions and assist in the preparation of high-quality documents to share with Board of Directors.
Support ongoing development and embedding of the Risk Management Framework
Work in collaboration with Internal Audit, Compliance, Legal, Data Governance and 1st Line Risk Teams to provide the Boards and other stakeholders with assurance over TransUnion’s material risk exposures
Build and foster relationships with and become a trusted business partner of senior leaders of the organization
Direct, identify and solve complex, operational and organizational problems leveraging the direct and indirect resources
Provide proactive, accurate, expert and specialist risk management advice to all business units and divisions within TransUnion
Negotiate with senior leaders across the business
This position will report to Head of Risk and Compliance APAC.
Required Knowledge And Experiences
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in business, risk management or related field.
5 plus years of experience in risk management within a credit/financial environment or highly regulated industry.
Knowledge of the Hong Kong credit industry.
Proven experience in developing and implementing processes and procedures.
Strong stakeholder management, verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to write formal policies and procedures as well as routine reports and correspondence.
Strong logical, problem solving, decision making and influencing abilities.
Strong understanding of enterprise risk management principles and techniques in highly regulated industry.
Confidence in communicating (both written and verbal) with senior stakeholders.
Experience preparing papers for, and presenting at, governance committees and boards.
Strategic thinking/planning skills, ability to rapidly assess issues and associated risk and ability to make critical decisions in a fast paced environment are essential.
Ability to read, interpret, and understand product and contract documents such as laws, business documents, system documents, company policies, and procedures.
Ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders on all levels of the organization and across multiple geographical locations.
Proven ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in MS Office.
