This position is a full-time, tenure track or non-tenure track Assistant Professor of Nursing. In addition to teaching in the Judy Howard Hill Nursing program, the successful candidate’s responsibilities will include academic advising, holding office hours, assisting students outside of class, and active participation in the life of the School and College. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching.
QualificationsDesired Education, Skills, and Experience
- Doctorate in Nursing (preferred) with a required MSN
- Experience in teaching pre-licensure nursing students is a plus
- Either hold or be eligible for an unrestricted license to practice nursing in North Carolina
- Flexibility in teaching will be a plus
- Didactic and clinical instruction required with priority to those with pediatric and/or OB experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to working with students and colleagues of diverse backgrounds
