However, we are only half of the picture. Our suppliers are at the heart of everything we do. Working with our partners, suppliers and farmers, we will be delivering several interventions through suppliers, industry and communities to have a positive impact on people in our extended supply chain.
This role requires someone with a passion for impact with previous experience, excellent stakeholder management communication skills, project delivery, attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with local and global teams. The role will be responsible for driving Unilever’s sustainability goals of nature, climate and livelihoods pillars for key crops like tea and coffee. The manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing the programs for sustainable and deforestation free sourcing, regenerative agriculture, supplier climate, social impact and livelihoods programs. The role focuses on ensuring responsible sourcing, improving agricultural practices and fostering partnerships with partners, suppliers and farmer communities to meet company’s sustainability goals. The role will require supplier collaboration and engagement, program management, monitoring and reporting, partnership development and cross functional alignment.

Key Responsibilities
1. Responsible for driving Unilever’s sustainability goals in nature, climate and livelihoods pillars for key crops like tea and coffee
2. Responsible for sustainable deforestation free sourcing, regenerative agriculture, supplier climate program, livelihoods programs and supplier compliance in tea
3. Responsible for expansion of the sectoral partnerships focused on environmental social, livelihoods impact
4. Manage the compliance to Unilever Supplier Qualification System and supplier contracts
5. Work in close coordination with program partners, suppliers, and industry stakeholders to deliver on the procurement priorities and commitments
6. Responisble for program monitoring and reporting
7. Support the organisation to identify and design the future framework of the interventions in the tea extended supply chain

What you need to succeed
Professional Skills required

• Able to manage different projects concurrently, deliver effective and consistent implementation
• Strong inter-personal skills and a good team player, able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to create effective ways of working
• Experience in data analytics tools preferred
• Having high bias for action, good planning skills
• Being curious to the sustainability action to make sure the programs can catch the hotspots in the industry
• Knowledge of sustainability standards, regenerative agriculture must
• Ability to analyze data and report on sustainability performance
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to organise work and act independently
• Able to work in fast paced environment and manage timelines

Experience Required
• Experience in program management and sustainability
• About 2 - 5 years of experience in agricultural/plantation supply chain
• Good understanding of tea industry would be preferred
• Experience managing contracts and budgets
Preferred
• University degree in agriculture, environmental science, agri business, agronomy
• Multiple language capabilities a plus, fluent and written English essential
• Experience of working in an industry facing role and connected team
