Role Description: Our Assistant Operations Manager plays a vital role with our Traditional Community Bank to provide application support to internal and external clients. In this role, you will serve as a key support function for Operations Specialists, overseeing processes, procedures, applications and training. We are looking for someone that has previous experience working in deposit operations and can provide expertise in application management and project implementation and support.
In this role you will:
- Manage and oversee the Operations Specialist team
- Assist Operations Manager with the management of core providers
- Be knowledgeable in all banking applications.
- System administration, responsible for managing and updating specifications on all relevant applications
- Responsible for providing support to the team with any questions, resolving issues and enhancing products.
- Troubleshoot application errors and provide resolutions
- Provide and manage necessary application training to all team members
- Be responsible for timely and accurate monthly reporting and analytics
- Create and run reports using Business Analytics and PowerBI
- Ensure procedures relevant to the Operations Team are updated and accurate
- Oversee user management: movers, leavers, joiners and password maintenance when necessary
- Provide Debit and Credit Card expertise
- Responsible for assisting bankers and clients with issues and providing resolutions
- Manage general ledger reconciliations
- Identify and provide suggestions for more efficient and effective processes within the department
- Perform account cleanup on users, products and codes when necessary
- Implement dual user control to reduce bank risk
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Troubleshoot various technology equipment
Qualifications:
- Have at least five years of experience in banking operations
- Demonstrate exceptional communication skills
- Ability to make judgments based on information provided
- Ability to work and complete tasks with minimal direct supervision
