An Assistant Marketing Manager, Media understands how to develop and execute a marketing plan with a customer first approach, how media and creative work together, and the complexities of an evolving media landscape.
The person in this role is responsible for the strategy, execution, measurement, and optimization of paid social campaigns. This includes direct platform management, ownership of tagging and measurement frameworks, collaboration with agency and platform partners, and close partnership with organic social, brand, and creative teams to ensure campaign effectiveness and alignment.
This position also plays a key role in strengthening media operations through the development of workflows, quality assurance processes, documentation, and reporting tools that support efficient campaign execution and ongoing business performance analysis.
The person in this role assists the Senior Marketing Manager with a variety of projects, including media performance reporting, competitive media analyses, marketing mix modeling support, budget reporting, category sales reporting, and test-and-learn initiatives. Developing strong partnerships with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Ecommerce, Merchandising, Store Operations, IT, and agency partners is essential.
This person will consistently seek opportunities to improve processes, identify and execute innovative media tests, stay current on emerging platform capabilities and AI-driven media buying solutions, and coordinate activities with internal stakeholders, media vendors, and agency partners.
Responsibilities- Leads paid social campaign execution, including campaign setup, trafficking, quality assurance, budget pacing, optimization, and performance monitoring
- Owns tagging and measurement strategy for paid social campaigns, including pixel implementation, Conversions API requirements, campaign taxonomy, and signal quality monitoring
- Partners with IT teams and external vendors to ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and campaign measurement implementation
- Develops and maintains media operations documentation, including workflows, quality assurance checklists, trafficking processes, and invoice reconciliation procedures
- Designs and executes test-and-learn initiatives, including creative testing, incrementality studies, holdout testing, and evaluation of new platform capabilities
- Oversees performance reporting and provides data-driven recommendations to improve campaign effectiveness and business results
- Prepares and distributes reports, including competitive media analyses, media category support summaries, and sales and service heat maps
- Supports marketing mix modeling initiatives, budget reporting, and monthly category sales reporting
- Coordinates integration between paid and organic social media efforts and contributes media recommendations for creative development and campaign planning
- Ability to manage multiple projects by tracking deadlines and collecting and organizing information
- Strong project management skills to enable multiple projects running on time and on budget
- Ability to interact with multiple agency and platform partners on projects and provide feedback on their performance
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field
2-4 years’ experience in Marketing (any discipline including but not limited to Advertising, Design, Content, CRM/Loyalty, Insights, Media, Social, Ecommerce) or Other related field
Project management certification a plus
Ability to multi-task in high paced retail business environment
Highly motivated with ability to meet tight deadlines
Strong communication skills with all levels of employees, as well as outside contacts
Ability to solve complex problems efficiently and creatively
An ability to prepare and interpret workflows, schedules, and step-by-step action plans
Strong working knowledge of Adobe Workfront or other workflow management tool a plus
