Our client is a growing organisation with multiple business entities and is looking for an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to support its finance operations, reporting and business growth.
Financial Reporting & Group Finance
- Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting for the Group and its subsidiaries.
- Support group consolidation and review accounting treatments to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare management reports and financial analysis to support management decision-making.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end closing activities.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
- Assist in the annual budgeting process and preparation of rolling forecasts.
- Prepare financial analysis, variance analysis and basic financial modelling to support business planning.
- Monitor expenses and identify areas for cost control and operational improvement.
- Provide financial information and insights to support management and business initiatives.
Cash Flow & Treasury
- Assist in preparing and monitoring cash-flow forecasts.
- Monitor daily cash flow, supplier payments and working capital requirements.
- Coordinate with banks and financial institutions on routine banking matters.
- Support the Finance Manager in managing the Group's banking and cash management activities.
Tax, Audit & Compliance
- Assist in overseeing tax compliance, including tax computations, estimates and submissions.
- Coordinate with external auditors and provide the necessary schedules and supporting documents for year-end audit.
- Ensure statutory and financial reporting requirements are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain proper finance, corporate and statutory documentation.
Finance Operations & Team Support
- Oversee day-to-day accounting and finance operations for assigned entities.
- Review accounting work and ensure proper maintenance of accounting records.
- Assist in improving finance processes, systems and internal controls.
- Supervise, coach and provide guidance to junior members of the Finance team.
- Work closely with other departments and management on finance-related matters.
- Support the Finance Manager in various financial projects and business initiatives.
- Degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- 5–8+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.
- Candidates currently at Senior Accountant / Senior Executive / Assistant Finance Manager level are welcome to apply.
- Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and audit coordination.
- Experience in group consolidation and managing accounts for multiple entities will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of tax and statutory compliance.
- Strong Excel and accounting-system skills.
- Candidates from Property Development, Construction, F&B, Retail or other project-based industries are welcome.
- Good analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on environment and taking ownership of assigned finance matters.
Skills Required
- Degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- 5–8+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance
