Assistant Executive Officer (26270078)
The School of Business invites applications for a high-calibre individual to join the Central Administration Section (CAS) of the Dean’s Office of the School of Business, supporting school-wide operations and projects.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day administration support, including handling email inquiries and phone calls, procuring office supplies, conducting classroom and facility inspections, as well as reporting repair and maintenance issues;
- Administer the room-booking system and compile usage statistics to prepare reports;
- Assist in managing the School’s facilities to support teaching, research, events, and meetings;
- Support colleagues in managing the administration and finance matters of research initiatives;
- Work closely with team members to deliver School-wide events;
- Provide administrative and secretarial services to committees and projects; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A recognised bachelor’s degree, with at least two years of relevant work experience, preferably in the tertiary education sector;
- A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), and proficiency in IT applications;
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, responsible, proactive, with a “can-do” attitude, pleasant and a good team player;
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team; and
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written assessment.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of up to two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review, mutual agreement, and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
