Your Role as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON):

  • Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily operations of the nursing department
  • Supervise and support nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, CMAs, and CNAs
  • Ensure compliance with all facility policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations
  • Support the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures
  • Monitor quality of care and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations of nursing staff
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to staff, including care planning and documentation
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, resident-centered care
  • Promote a positive, supportive environment for residents, families, and staff
  • Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and HIPAA regulations

What We're Looking For:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current LPN or RN license in the State of Ohio
  • Current CPR certification
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and nursing practices
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Compassionate, calm, and resident-focused approach to care
