[What the role is]
Delivering building and infrastructure developments from inception to completion and commissioning within budget, timeline and with good safety record. The scope of works will encompass seeking support from management, conducting feasibility studies, developing concept design, writing of design and technical specifications for tender, estimation of project cost, developing project schedule, procurement, review of design and method statements for construction of permanent and temporary works, safety and quality assurance and to trouble shoot technical issues. Priority will be given to applicants with good knowledge and experience in Energy Efficiency and Environmental Sustainability. The incumbent will be required to work with stakeholders, contractors and consultants, to review and provide value engineering solutions with the objective of achieving quality, compliance, maintainability and value for money for all development projects.[What you will be working on]
- Understand and identify the conditions and constraints in Sentosa environment and propose feasible engineering solutions
- Provide technical evaluation on tender submission for consultancy study and/or construction project
- Process the following abilities and guiding the team in the following:
1. Preparation of technical specifications,
2. Compliance check of M&E Engineering work in accordance to Codes and regulatory requirement,
3. Estimation of Construction costs and M&E System,
4. Familiar with Authorities and Agencies submission and requirement
5. Conduct Value engineering
6. Manage development projects from concept stage till completion.
- Review design and method statement for construction of permanent structure as well as temporary works and ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances.
- Manage and execute in-house and out-sources feasibility studies of engineering concepts, design consultancy and design & build contracts for building and infrastructure developments on Sentosa
- Provide professional advice to the project team.
- Work with all internal stakeholders, consultants and contractors to achieve quality, cost effective, on schedule and maintainable engineering solutions
- Liaising with the respective Authorities or agencies.
- Performs other engineering roles including technical support to other divisions, new engineering initiatives, ad hoc site inspection and meeting etc.
[What we are looking for]
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in design development from feasibility studies to implementation of complex building and civil engineering projects and achieved good safety record
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering recognized by PEB or relevant qualifications from a recognized tertiary institution
- Strong in people management and have experience in leading a team of Mechanical and Electrical engineers and Technical Officers.
- Good understanding of the procurement process and budgeting in Statutory Board.
- Possessed design experience in Mechanical and Electrical Building services, preferably with good knowledge in Energy Efficiency and Environmental Sustainability Design
- Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills

Skills Required
