Role:
We’re seeking a proactive, hands-on Assistant Controller to help design, implement, and scale our accounting infrastructure. You’ll be instrumental in building the processes, systems, and reporting capabilities that will support our growth. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the general ledger, consolidations, AP, payroll and intercompany cross-charges, ensuring compliance across domestic and international entities.
- Design and implement scalable accounting policies, processes, and controls to support rapid growth.
- Partner with the Controller to optimize a modern ERP, procurement, and T&E tools, and systems, with a focus on automation and AI-driven efficiencies.
- Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP.
- Oversee accounting for international operations and support global tax matters.
- Support external audits and investor reporting requirements.
- Build dashboards and reporting tools to provide real-time financial insights to leadership.
- Mentor and develop accounting team members
- Stay current on emerging accounting tech, AI tools, and process automation best practices.
Qualifications/Skills:
- CPA (or equivalent).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting and leadership experience, with a mix of Big 4 and in-house experience at a high-growth B2C or technology company, and experience with companies of scale.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Strong experience with multi-entity and multi-currency accounting, as well as managing international taxes and regulations.
- Experience optimizing the tech stack integrating related tools.
- Proven ability to improve processes and leverage automation tools (e.g., AI reconciliation, OCR invoice processing, automated close solutions).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
- Excellent knowledge of ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and revenue recognition software.
- Proven leadership and project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and implement systems that support scalable growth.
