Job Summary

The Assistant Community Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end management of a large residential property (~150 units) while providing administrative support to a Community Manager. This support may include assisting with rent collections or bad debt, processing lease renewals, managing the notice to vacate process, and completing other tasks as assigned. The position provides hands-on experience in property management and requires strong organizational, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

Position Details:

Full-Time Position
Hours: 40 hours per week
Responsibilities: -1 building with a total of 150 units
Compensation: $22.00-$24.00/hr

Requirements

  • Assist the Community Manager with daily administrative duties, including rent collections, document preparation, and resident communication.
  • Identify lease renewal and/or rent increase opportunities, prepare reports, and, upon approval, send documentation to residents and complete updates in AppFolio.
  • Process notices to vacate, communicate standard procedures and requirements to residents, schedule inspections, process deposit accounting, and handle bad debt when applicable.
  • Support marketing and leasing efforts to help minimize vacancies.
  • Obtain property owner approvals for work to be completed, process invoices, and approve payables.
  • Conduct periodic property inspections to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Monitor property utilities, contracts, and vendor services to help maintain efficient operations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date property records, lease agreements, and resident files.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in residential property management preferred but not required.
  • Strong computer and technology skills, including experience with cloud-based software and applications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Organized and able to effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Dependable transportation.
