We’re seeking an Architect to join our growing Cairns team to expand our architectural presence in Northern Queensland, working with clients, multidisciplinary teams and leaders across the GHD network.

Working across all stages of the project lifecycle, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary experts, contribute your architectural perspective to complex projects and build trusted relationships with clients and project stakeholders.

- Contribute to the design and delivery of projects from concept through to completion.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, designers and technical specialists to develop innovative and practical solutions.
- Prepare and coordinate high-quality architectural documentation using Revit.
- Apply design thinking, technical knowledge and construction understanding to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Participate in project planning, coordination and delivery activities.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders, developing trusted and productive working relationships.
- Support and mentor graduates and emerging professionals.
- Champion sustainable design principles and explore new approaches that improve project and community outcomes.
- Bring fresh thinking to project challenges and identify opportunities beyond the immediate brief.
What you will bring to the team:
You are a motivated and collaborative Architect who combines strong design capability with practical technical knowledge. You enjoy working across disciplines, communicating with a range of stakeholders and contributing throughout the full project lifecycle.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
- A minimum of three years’ Australian architectural experience.
- Registration as an Architect in Queensland, or the ability to obtain Queensland registration through mutual recognition.
- Demonstrated experience contributing to the design and delivery of architectural projects.
- Strong design capability supported by sound technical and construction knowledge.
- Proficiency in Revit and the preparation of architectural documentation.
- Strong communication, collaboration and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities within multidisciplinary project teams.
- A genuine interest in sustainable design and continuous professional development.
- A proactive mindset, with the confidence to identify opportunities and think beyond the brief.
