Job Description
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with webMethods and cloud platforms (AWS preferred), including production operations and platform engineering responsibilities.
- Expert knowledge of webMethods Integration Server, Universal Messaging, My webMethods Server (MWS), and Designer/Integration Designer; strong experience administering webMethods instances and runtime components.
- Proven experience with Amazon EKS, Docker, and Kubernetes, including Kubernetes networking fundamentals and deployment operations in enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and practical experience implementing automated build/release pipelines for middleware platforms.
- Experience deploying and managing webMethods in hybrid cloud environments (on-prem + AWS) with secure connectivity and operational discipline.
- Experience maintaining container images and deployment artifacts in an enterprise-approved code repository and/or artifact repository; strong versioning and promotion practices.
- Solid operational skills: incident triage, root-cause analysis, change/release management, and ability to drive issues to closure while collaborating across distributed teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience upgrading webMethods platforms (e.g., 10.x to 11.x) and modernizing to cloud-ready architectures
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) for EKS provisioning and supporting AWS services (e.g., networking, storage, IAM, logging/monitoring).
- Experience with webMethods.io (SaaS) in AWS and integrating SaaS-based workflows with enterprise integration patterns.
- Familiarity with enterprise security and compliance practices (certificate management, secrets management, access controls) and implementing them in Kubernetes-based runtimes.
- Experience creating Helm charts / Kubernetes manifests for webMethods components (IS/MSR, UM, MWS) and operational jobs for export/import and environment promotion.
- Prior experience mentoring engineers/administrators and acting as a technical lead in large-scale migration programs with multiple application teams and vendors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
