AR/AP Specialist

Job Summary:

In this role, you’ll help power our finance team by owning critical AR and AP processes. You will take charge of both accounts receivable and accounts payable processes - ensuring invoices, payments, and receipts are handled with precision and speed. Your work will directly support our cash flow, financial accuracy, and overall business operations.

Core Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Generate and send customer invoices in a timely manner
• Monitor customer accounts for outstanding balances
• Follow up on overdue payments and resolve billing issues
• Process incoming payments via check, ACH, wire, and credit card
• Apply payments to customer accounts accurately
• Reconcile AR ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and posted properly
• Assist in month-end closing by preparing AR reports and aging schedules
  

Accounts Payable (AP)

• Receive, verify, and process vendor invoices
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents
• Ensure proper approvals and coding of expenses
• Schedule and process payments via check, ACH, or wire transfer
• Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries
• Reconcile AP statements and resolve discrepancies
• Assist in month-end closing by preparing AP reports and aging schedules

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in AR and/or AP roles
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g. NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
