Course Description:

We are seeking a part time instructor to teach SED 2115: Web and Mobile Applications,a 3-unit course designed to teach students how to implement both the front-end and backend of a web site. The course emphasizes the use of existing frameworks and libraries, and spans design, implementation, and testing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging lectures and facilitate discussions on course topics
• Create and assess assignments, projects, and examinations that evaluate both the design and implementation of web sites
• Align teaching with the approved course description and learning outcomes
• Coordinate examinations and other course elements with SED 2515
• Remain current with web development practices

• Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent
• Demonstrated teaching or professional training experience in web technologies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills Preferred:
• PhD degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent
• Industry experience implementing web solutions involving both front-end and back-end technologies
• Ability to integrate theory with industry software development practices
• Experience teaching diverse student populations and fostering inclusive learning
environments
• Experience promoting an active and experiential classroom
• Familiarity with React
