American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the leading payment card issuer for businesses in the United States and various international markets and supports business owners and companies with products and services to help them run and grow their businesses. GCS trainee apprentice will be responsible for supporting GCS India Operations and the role will involve structured training, collaboration, and opportunity to experience the dynamic world of American Express.
Responsibilities• Manage day-to-day business operations supporting GCS India. Assist teams and leaders in customer deliverables and control related activities to ensure seamless service delivery and control environment
• Ensure adherence to Company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and American Express compliance standards in all operational processes
• Execute tasks in alignment with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and maintain process quality in line with established guidelines to maintain consistency and accuracy
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to facilitate the smooth execution of assigned tasks, initiatives, and projects
• Identify process improvement opportunities by recognizing gaps and recommending enhancements to increase efficiency, elevate the client/customer experience and enhance the control environment
• Maintain high performance standards by ensuring effectiveness, efficiency, and quality in all deliverables
• Provide operational support including developing and maintaining reports, dashboards, presentations and status updates for ongoing activities
QualificationsSkills and Experience Requirements
• Graduates in any discipline (preferably Commerce/Business Administration/Economics/Banking and Finance)
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Working knowledge of MS-Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of management
• Demonstrate positive attitude, agility, and willingness to learn and develop. Ability to work independently in a fast paced, structured, high-volume environment with minimal supervision
• Strong flexibility/adaptability to manage multiple tasks within stringent time frames while maintaining accuracy
• Must be flexible to work across different shifts.
