Ruan is seeking an Application Developer to analyze, design, develop and implement new or existing applications using Agile methodologies. The Application Developer works in a team environment to design and develop enterprise level software applications, data structures, and processes to meet the needs of Ruan Transportation Management Systems. The successful candidate will follow and improve the software development life cycle with an agile approach to delivering software. Application Developers work closely with their team on architecture, design, and code reviews. Collaboration skills are an emphasis with business analysts and other agile roles to identify new opportunities for software innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain enterprise-level applications and software. Analyze, plan, develop, test, review and document applications and systems.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure application development meets the needs of the business and follows IT guidelines & principles.
- Understand how new or existing applications fit into the current environment identifying risks, feasibility, cost, and compatibility.
- Contribute and adhere to Ruan’s software development life cycle.
- Proactively seek opportunities for continuous improvements and innovation.
- Work with external vendors on development and defect resolution.
Job Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or 3-5 years of related work experience.
- Software development experience working in a team environment is required.
- Requires previous experience, coursework, and/or knowledge of Microsoft’s .NET platform, Azure, ASP.NET MVC and/or ASP.Net Core MVC, C#, HTML, JavaScript, Web API, REST API, Microservices architecture, and SQL Server.
- Mobile experience with Android and .Net Maui preferred. Experience with iOS a plus but not required.
- Must have strong problem-solving and communication skills to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
- Must have the ability to work multiple tasks under time constraints to set priorities and accomplish duties with little supervision and direction.
