The Opportunity
As an Application Virtualization Engineer, you'll work closely with Architects, Operations, DevOps, Security and other technology partners to design and implement our Application Virtualization platform based on Citrix. You will design/build/deploy complex, forward-looking application virtualization capabilities.
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable Application Virtualization solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute as a technical expert for Citrix Cloud DaaS administration and maintenance/operations/troubleshooting and all elements related the application environment.
  • Stay abreast of related technology and recommend future system enhancements, improving troubleshooting and reducing the manual tasks.
  • Responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and implementing recommendations for resources required to maintain and/or expand service levels or performance.
  • Responsible for Level 3 platform support and maintenance activities.
  • Contribute to platform architecture roadmap, in collaboration with platform owner, product manager, and platform architecture leads.
  • Provision, manage and maintain the software infrastructure that supports platforms
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams to provision environments, configure services, and perform capacity planning.
  • Participate in support rotation, respond to system health alerts, and triage issues alongside helpdesk, managed services, and cloud ops teams
  • Optimize application packages for efficient deployment and effective performance in Citrix virtualized environments.
  • Collaborate with SCCM and other deployment tools to package and distribute applications seamlessly.
  • Develop and maintain application documentation according to Takeda Quality Systems and Software Development Life Cycle standards and procedures

Skills and Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related study, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience spanning multiple IT disciplines, including systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, integration.
  • Knowledge in application packaging techniques for virtualized environments and system compatibility testing.
  • Hands-on experience with SCCM / Intune or equivalent tools for application deployment and configuration.
  • Knowledge in creating and troubleshooting MSI packages, installers, and custom transformations for applications in virtual environments.
  • Strong knowledge of PowerShell/Bash scripting for automating application packaging and deployment tasks.
  • Knowledge of Netscaler, Gateway service, Director tool, Web interface, and App Streaming.
  • Hands-on experience in operating and maintaining Citrix infrastructure (License server, Storefront, Delivery Controller, Citrix Director, VDA Machines).
  • Hands-on experience in application deployment via SCCM.
  • Knowledge of MCS, PVS, and Server Build technologies.
  • Hands on experience in system level scripting using Bash and/or PowerShell.
  • Good Operating System level debugging skills.
  • Familiarity with Cloud technology environments (AWS preferred).
  • Solid oral and written communication skills, business acumen, and enterprise knowledge.

Salary
As a motivated employee, you should be compensated appropriately. The minimum salary for this position is € 2100 per month (full time), but your final remuneration package may be higher depending on your qualifications and experience.
