Purpose of the RoleAs an Application Engineer – NEV, you play a key role in supporting customers and the sales organization throughout the entire customer journey within the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) sector.
You act as a technical expert, bridging the gap between complex engineering requirements and advanced ZEISS measurement and X-ray solutions. Working closely with both local and global teams, you contribute to delivering tailored solutions that ensure the highest standards of quality and innovation in the rapidly evolving mobility landscape.
Your role is dynamic and hands-on: you perform technical measurements, develop programs, conduct feasibility studies, and deliver product demonstrations. By combining technical precision with strategic collaboration, you support customers in optimizing their quality assurance processes and staying at the forefront of technological advancement.
The key responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):- You report to the Head of Application Services Hungary.
- You perform measurement tasks and develop measurement programs based on customer-specific requirements.
- You conduct feasibility studies and deliver high-quality product demonstrations.
- You act as a technical consultant for NEV quality assurance, collaborating with local and global experts to design tailored NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) solutions.
- You gather and define customer and project requirements, integrating X-ray and NDT technologies into customer workflows.
- You prepare effort and cost estimations for measurement projects and applications.
- You present measurement results and lead follow-up discussions with customers.
- You collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure seamless communication and execution.
- A completed university degree in a technical or scientific field.
- Experience in or strong affinity with the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) industry.
- Affinity with advanced measurement technologies, X-ray systems, and quality assurance solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Hungarian and English.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, independent, and solution-oriented mindset, with a structured and precise approach to work.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional and international teams.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; possession of a valid driver’s license.
