Job Summary: The Application Developer II is responsible for designing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications, including research, design, documentation, and modification throughout the production lifecycle. This role requires expertise in Facets, cloud technology, and generative AI.
Essential Functions:
- Application Development: Design, develop, and implement applications in alignment with business and technical requirements, focusing on Facets functionality for managing claims, provider, and member data.
- Cloud Integration: Utilize cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) to develop, deploy, and manage scalable applications. Collaborate with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to optimize cloud-based application performance.
- Generative AI Utilization: Integrate and leverage generative AI tools to enhance application functionality, streamline workflows, and drive innovation.
- Performance Testing: Run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing software to correct errors, isolate areas for improvement, and debug.
- Code Reviews: Perform technical code reviews to ensure adherence to proper coding methodology.
- Iterative Development: Work within an iterative methodology.
- SDLC and CI/CD: Maintain an understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, and configuration management.
- C# and .NET Development: Develop and maintain applications using C# and .NET Microsoft stacks.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, resolve issues, and deliver on project milestones.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Ensure comprehensive documentation of application processes and participate in knowledge-sharing activities.
- Adaptability: Set day-to-day objectives and deliver job responsibilities that may vary outside typical norms or practices.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of technical experience.
- Advanced OOP principles and design experience.
- Experience developing and designing n-tier applications with multi-tier architectures.
- Proficiency in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with generative AI tools and frameworks.
- Proficiency in C# and .NET Microsoft stacks.
Competencies, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Hands-on experience in integrated development environments.
- Software troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with Agile and Test Driven Development.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of configuration management tools, scripting, programming, and automated testing tool sets.
- Flexible and adaptable in learning new technologies.
- Highly self-motivated, technically proficient, logical, and detail-oriented.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks independently and collaboratively.
- Innovative and pioneering spirit.
Licensure and Certification:
- Preferred: Certifications in Microsoft Training or comparable certifications for Java or other OOP languages (MCSD, etc.).
- Plus: Certification in cloud technologies or AI.
Working Conditions:
- General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods.
Compensation Range:
$69,400.00 - $111,000.00
