We are seeking an application architect for our IGT program to set vision, strategy, design, values, and priorities that enable us to achieve our mission. Architect will play a crucial leadership role and must demonstrate a strategic, action-oriented mindset focused on intellectual curiosity, agility, accountability, security, collaboration, and the ability to drive innovation through experimentation. They also serve as a mentor to our engineers providing guidance through new and complex experiences in a collaborative environment.
As an application architect, you will have accountability for technology choices, security, and design solutions across the program. You will be a technical leader responsible for researching, analyzing, proposing, and architecting requirements-based products and solutions that align with the business, engineering and technology needs by acting as a trusted partner. You will collaborate with engineering, security, and other architects to develop technology and information architectures, solution designs, strategies, and roadmaps for the program.
Responsibilities:
- Document and maintain architecture documents - technical, network and application.
- Create technical designs for software applications that include architecture patterns, frameworks, and data models.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, project managers, and end-users to understand business objectives and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure that architectural components optimally address business requirements.
- Document application development processes, procedures, and standards and monitor software quality
- Develop technology roadmaps that align with the organization's business goals and technology strategy.
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, platforms, and tools for application development.
- Integrate security measures into the application architecture to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with Architecture Office and Lead / Participate in technical and infrastructure requirements, engineering initiatives.
- Define architecture risk mitigation plans.
- Monitor emerging technologies and Integrate trends in application architecture by evaluating applicability toward current and future efforts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science with a specialization in software engineering, application development, or similar.
- A minimum of 5-year experience as an application architect, preferably in a related industry.
- Experience working with AWS cloud technology.
- Highly proficient in programming languages and common frameworks, such as Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Spring, Angular.
- Extensive experience in aligning application development with business needs.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Superb organizational and time management skills.
- Great collaboration and communication skills.
- Understanding of AWS Cloud Native offerings is a plus.
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Salary: $121,500-158,000
