As an Analytics Platform Engineer, you will:

  • Develop and maintain underlying foundational data pipelines to support Analytics and BI engineers.
  • Build transforms in both Python and SQL (BigQuery) on a daily basis to provide our users with a longitudinal view of patient health.
  • Build scalable pipelines that can handle increasing amounts of data and complexity.
  • Support insights into population health, clinician performance, and patient outcomes for both internal and external consumers.
  • Create well-structured database models that are easy to query and understand by a large number of team members.

Success in this role looks like:

  • You leverage your technical and business acumen to identify opportunities for improvements, evaluate new technologies.  You proactively share your expertise and contribute to raising the overall technical capabilities of the team.  You mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented engineering environment.

You should get in touch if:

  • You have 4+ years of experience as an Analytics Platform Engineer, Data Platform Engineer, Data Engineer, or similar role.
  • You have been writing Python and SQL transforms (preferably Postgres or BigQuery flavors of SQL) on a daily basis.
  • You have developed pipelines for real-time and batch processing using a combination of Airflow DAGs, event-driven architecture (pubsub, Kafka, etc.), and Python-based workflows.
  • You have experience working with parallelization, sharding, windowing or other strategies to handle larger sets of data.
  • You've worked extensively with cloud hosted databases in Google or AWS clouds.
  • You have experience with common healthcare code sets like ICD, SNOMED, RXNORM, LOINC, etc. - preferred but not required.
  • You have knowledge of HIPAA, HITRUST, or SOC2 - preferred but not required.

What We Do

Clover Health (Nasdaq: CLOV) is a physician enablement company focused on seniors who have historically lacked access to affordable, high-quality healthcare

We aim to provide great care, in a sustainable way, by having a business model built around improving medical outcomes while lowering avoidable costs. We do this while taking a holistic approach to understanding the health needs and social risk factors of those under our care. This strategy is underpinned by our proprietary software platform, the Clover Assistant, which is designed to aggregate patient data from across the health ecosystem to support clinical decision-making by presenting physicians and other providers with real-time, personalized recommendations at the point of care.

Making care more accessible is at the heart of our business, and we believe patients should have the freedom to choose their doctors. We offer affordable Medicare Advantage plans with extensive benefits, provide primary care physicians with the Clover Assistant, and also make comprehensive home-based care available via the Clover Home Care program.

With our corporate headquarters in Nashville, Clover’s workforce is distributed around the U.S. and also includes a team of world-class technologists based in Hong Kong. We manage care for Medicare Advantage members in Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Mississippi, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.

We are hiring software engineers, data scientists, designers and product folks who can help us understand our members’ wellness and steer them clear of any health risks down the road.

If you’re a passionate person and interested in changing healthcare for the better, then Clover Health may just be the place for you.
