Are you ready to lead Ocean reporting while remaining close to the solutions that turn data into better decisions?

We’re looking for a Reporting Lead to join our centralized reporting team. In this role, you will functionally own this reporting portfolio, lead and develop reporting professionals, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, sustainable reporting solutions for the relevant business stakeholders.

About the Role

As Reporting Lead for Ocean, you will be accountable for the direction, quality, governance, and delivery of the reporting portfolio. You will translate business priorities into a clear reporting roadmap, align stakeholders, manage demand, and coordinate delivery across the team. You will lead team members through direct leadership, set standards, remove delivery obstacles, and build capability through coaching and hands-on guidance. The role is also expected to retain the technical depth of a Senior Reporting Analyst: you must be able to independently design, develop, troubleshoot, and improve advanced Power BI and Excel solutions when priorities, complexity, or capacity require it.

Key Responsibilities

· Functional Ownership of the Reporting Scope

  • Own the Ocean reporting portfolio, roadmap, standards, and delivery outcomes.
  • Translate business priorities into a transparent, value-based backlog and make informed trade-offs across new development, enhancements, maintenance, and technical debt.
  • Act as the primary functional point of contact for relevant stakeholders, aligning them on requirements, priorities, dependencies, risks, and expected outcomes.
  • Drive standardization, governance, adoption, and lifecycle decisions across the reporting portfolio, including consolidation and decommissioning where appropriate.
  • Accountable for the timely and accurate delivery of all reports within the reporting scope, including monitoring service levels, managing delivery risks, and ensuring appropriate stakeholder communication and escalation.

· Team and Delivery Leadership

  • Lead reporting professionals directly or indirectly by setting clear priorities, coordinating work, and maintaining accountability for quality and delivery.
  • Coach team members, provide technical and functional guidance, and support capability development and effective ways of working.
  • Plan capacity, manage dependencies, and remove impediments to ensure reliable delivery against agreed commitments.
  • Foster collaboration across reporting, data, finance, and business teams while promoting constructive challenge and continuous improvement.

· Hands-On Report Development

  • Personally design and deliver advanced Power BI dashboards, semantic models, and Excel-based reporting solutions when required.
  • Own complex developments end to end, from requirements and solution design through data modelling, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and continuous improvement.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for complex transformations, and use Python where appropriate to automate reporting processes or support advanced analytics.
  • Review and troubleshoot solutions developed by others, ensuring sound design, maintainability, performance, and a consistent user experience.

Technology and Innovation

  • Utilize Databricks, Dremio, and other platforms to build custom queries and reporting logic that strengthen reporting solutions.
  • Develop standardized templates and reusable components to scale reporting.
  • Introduce and champion new technologies to improve efficiency and scalability.

Automation, AI and Maintenance Support

  • Support automation of recurring reporting tasks and refresh processes.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to optimize reporting and reduce manual effort.
  • Ensure all deliverables comply with documentation and governance standards.
  • Identify and implement AI-enabled solutions to improve reporting efficiency, report development productivity, data validation, and user self-service capabilities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience functionally owning a reporting, BI, or analytics scope comparable to Ocean reporting including roadmap management, demand prioritization, stakeholder alignment, governance, and delivery accountability.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a team directly or indirectly, with experience setting priorities, delegating work, coaching colleagues, and maintaining accountability for outcomes.
  • Advanced hands-on expertise in Power BI, Excel, Power Query (M), and DAX, including the design of scalable semantic models and enterprise reporting solutions.
  • Strong SQL skills and practical experience using Python for automation or analytics. Experience with platforms such as Databricks, Dremio, and Power Automate is an advantage.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively and drive decisions.
  • Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into clear priorities, scalable technical solutions, and user-friendly reporting deliverables.
  • Sound understanding of reporting governance, quality assurance, documentation, adoption, and solution lifecycle management.
  • Solid knowledge of financial statements, variance analysis, and budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Comfort working in an Agile environment and managing work through tools such as Jira.
  • Champion the adoption of AI and emerging technologies across the reporting function, driving productivity improvements, process simplification, automation, and enhanced stakeholder experiences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Typically 7+ years of relevant experience in BI, reporting, or analytics, including substantial hands-on report development experience.
  • Previous experience leading people, a workstream, or a reporting portfolio, with clear accountability for delivery and stakeholder outcomes.

What We Offer

  • A visible leadership role with the opportunity to shape Ocean reporting and influence how stakeholders access and use insights.
  • A balance of functional ownership, people leadership, stakeholder engagement, and hands-on technical delivery.
  • A dynamic, learning-focused environment with opportunities to develop reporting capabilities, modernize the technology landscape, and deliver business impact at scale.
