Job Description

Legal & General Institutional Retirement supports over one million customers with retirement solutions, helping defined benefit pension schemes manage their annuity liabilities through buy-out, buy-in and longevity insurance arrangements. We’re looking for an Analyst to support digital change across business and IT projects within our Pensions Risk Transfer business.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys getting under the skin of business problems, working closely with stakeholders, and shaping practical digital solutions that improve outcomes for customers and colleagues.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Identifying digital business opportunities through strong stakeholder relationships
    • Leading requirements elicitation across business and IT change activity
    • Defining business problems, opportunities, analysis activities and key deliverables
    • Documenting requirements and maintaining clear traceability through the project lifecycle
    • Validating requirements with stakeholders and securing appropriate approvals
    • Reviewing proposed solutions against strategy, risks and assumptions
    • Evaluating deliverables, including third-party outputs, to ensure they are fit for purpose
    • Embedding customer outcomes, conduct risk and Treating Customers Fairly principles into day-to-day activity

    Who we're looking for:

    • Experience as a Business Analyst within digital, IT change or transformation environments
    • Strong requirements elicitation, documentation, validation and traceability skills
    • Confident stakeholder management, communication and influencing ability
    • Ability to review solutions critically and make clear recommendations
    • Strong customer focus and understanding of process improvement
    • Ability to self-manage and work effectively in a flexible, outcome-focused environment
    • Business Analysis certification, diploma or equivalent experience
    • Pensions, annuities or UK pensions market knowledge would be helpful but not essential, subject to hiring manager confirmation
