Global Risk & Compliance (“GRC”) independently oversees the company’s compliance, risk-taking and risk management activities, including the comprehensive identification, management, and mitigation of risks within the Company’s risk appetite. GRC ensures the company operates in a safe, sound and fully compliant manner within all applicable regulatory expectations. We create and maintain the overall risk management framework while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance. Enterprise Risk Management & Risk Oversight (ERM&RO) leads and continuously enhances the enterprise risk management framework across risk stripes to ensure its effectiveness, partnering with business units and control functions to collectively manage risk. We provide independent oversight that enables the enterprise to operate in a safe and sound manner while pursuing its growth objectives. ERM&RO safeguards the company’s long-term resilience, reputation, and stakeholder value by overseeing risk frameworks; strengthening risk culture; aligning risk appetite with strategy; aggregating and reporting risk data; and delivering effective challenge across key decisions. We also lead global regulatory exam management and remediation, drive risk and compliance and financial crimes technology and AI modernization, and advance enterprise transformation initiatives to ensure scalable, compliant, and forward-looking risk management practices.
ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders across Risk, Technology, Data, and Audit.
Support policies, standards, and processes to provide risk data aggregation and reporting capabilities appropriate for the size, complexity, and risk profile of the bank.
Assist in the development of risk reporting business requirements.
Support the operation of centralized consumption layer controls and contribute to the implementation and execution of decentralized controls.
Contribute to the design and implementation of data and technology infrastructure that supports reporting needs and ensures the appropriate capture and reporting of material risks, concentrations, and emerging risks.
Support the execution of a standardized, periodic assessment framework (at least annually) to evaluate the effectiveness of risk reporting systems, tools, and processes, ensuring continuous evolution with changing data sources and regulatory expectations.
Provide independent challenge on adherence of ERM-owned risk management frameworks and programs across the first and second line of defense including Risk Governance, Risk Assessment, and Risk Appetite.
Provide evaluation and assessment of risk decisions and assumptions to ensure adherence with enterprise-wide established policies and guidelines like Oversight Policy, Appetite Policy, etc.
Assist the ERM Framework and Program Adherence team in managing the challenge log and working with stakeholders and response owners to support timely closure.
Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, partners, and IAG to support regulatory compliance activities and contribute to regulatory exams for safety & soundness related regulations.

Degree in quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science or Economics)
Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to apply both quantitative methods and business skills to create insights and drive results
Familiarity with BCBS 239 and OCC Heightened Standards
Strong analytical skills, including a proven ability to translate complex and disparate information to develop a comprehensive and cohesive conclusion for colleagues, business partners, and senior leaders
Ability to work independently and across a matrix organization partnering with business partners, functional owners, capabilities, technology teams, and external vendors
Rigorous and analytical approach to problem-solving, decision-making, and prioritization collaboration across teams/geographies
Proactive in identifying issues, delivering and escalating key findings, and advising on recommended solutions to correct issues or mitigate risks
