Your Impact
The primary purpose of this role is to provide general pricing support for all product categories for their assigned business area. Their primary focus will be on managing day to day pricing activities that support their senior/manager pricing team and their merchant partners. This may include running pricing scenarios, generate reports, and running price updates in response to business and competitive needs, The pricing analyst will work with the rest of their team to ensure the timely implementation of all pricing recommendations. The Analyst - Pro Pricing supports the development and execution of pricing strategies to drive growth with professional customers. This role provides data analysis, modeling, and insights to evaluate pricing performance, identify opportunities, and support implementation across programs like bulk and quote pricing. Ideal for analytically driven professionals, the position offers experience in pricing strategy, retail economics, and customer behavior.
What You Will Do
- Provide analytical support for pro pricing strategy and partner with Sr. Analysts on pricing performance and strategy development.
- Build pricing models (win-loss, price sensitivity, financial impact) to guide strategic decisions.
- Analyze pricing performance, customer behavior, and market trends using internal data and competitive insights.
- Support execution of pricing recommendations and ensure accurate implementation via enterprise tools.
- Generate recurring and ad hoc reports on pricing performance, sales trends, and margins.
- Collaborate with Merchandising, Pricing, Finance, and Pro teams to align strategies with business objectives.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate processes, and improve pricing tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, or related field or equivalent experience
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- 5 Years relevant experience (pricing, merchandising, finance, or related field focused on retail analytics)
- 2 Years Corporate retail pricing, promotions or competitive intelligence analytics or strategy experience
- 1 Year Experience in Home Improvement Retail or Experience working in an omnichannel environment
- 3 years of experience in analytics, pricing, finance, consulting, merchandising analytics, or related fields
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience working with data to generate insights
- Proficiency with Excel or similar analytical tools
- Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly and collaborate with cross-functional partners
Preferred Skills/Education
- 2 Years Experience using standard analytics tools (MS Excel, Access) to develop data driven recommendations to identify opportunities to improve business performance
- 1 Year Experience in Home Improvement Retail or Experience working in an omnichannel environment
- 1 Year Experience developing processes and procedures to support business objectives
- 1 Year experience in retail pricing, promotions, retail analytics, or revenue management
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (SQL, Python, R, Tableau, or similar)
- Experience developing analytical models such as financial impact analysis, pricing comparisons, or win-loss analysis
- Experience working in retail, distribution, or B2B environments
- Exposure to pricing strategy or pricing optimization concepts
