The Business Operations Analyst will be an integral part of the Analytics & Research department, contributing to core business processes and automated strategies focused on highly targeted outreach, customer service recommendations, and reporting on the health of the business. The Analyst will collaborate closely with the Consumer Sales and Retention, Customer Service, and Brand Marketing teams to understand the strategies behind targeting, customer service, retention, and other core functional needs of the business. They will capture reporting requirements, understand necessary data sources and data structure, and ensure critical data feeds are automated and maintained. The Analyst will be responsible for turning raw data into actionable insights in the form of automated reporting and visualizations, while also being able to effectively communicate the insights to stakeholders in the form of presentations or report usage trainings. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of big data and data warehousing, and prior knowledge/use of SQL to develop and automate reporting. Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of the digital media industry and develops a deep understanding of the AJC's core subscription business model and functional needs.
• Manages and executes entire projects or components of large projects from start to finish, including Data gathering, Synthesis and modeling, Problem solving, Communication of insights and recommendations.
• Works with complex datasets across multiple systems and departments and understands how to model and manipulate the data into insights & data feeds.
• Works cross-functionally with stakeholders to capture reporting requirements and provide insight into areas of the business as it relates to operations.
• Works cross-department with a team of data engineers and data scientists to discover and land new data, and to address questions about the business with predictive modeling.
• Maintains clear and consistent communication with internal clients and teams. Collaborates effectively to meet analytics objectives.
• Develops and maintains dashboards and reports that communicate KPIs and trends.
• Collaborates cross-functionally to ensure data meets the needs of key areas of the business.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in data analysis.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field.
• Strong SQL programming skills, should be able to write and automate stored procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to work with cloud computing and data storage tools, preferably AWS S3, Redshift, GCP, Big Query, Snowflake.
• Experience working with customer service data is a plus, preferably Zendesk.
• Demonstrated ability to build an automated dashboard from developing raw data to presenting insights, preferably Power BI, Tableau for reporting.
• Aptitude for identifying and solving data landing/loading errors, ensuring data integrity.
• Proven experience working cross-functionally with team leads and SMEs.

USD 70,700.00 - 106,100.00 per year
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $70,700.00 - $106,100.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
