If you're looking for the stability of a profitable, growing company with the entrepreneurial spirit of a startup, we’re hiring.  SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking an analyst in our ever-expanding Commercial business unit.  As a member of SageSure’s Commercial Actuarial team, this analyst will have the opportunity to assist in providing technical and analytical assessments of complex business issues related to the management of our current insurance products and development of future products.  The analyst will learn and use statistical analysis and predictive modeling in support of developing sophisticated pricing plans.

What you will be doing:
•Build statistical learning models to solve business problems.
•Challenge assumptions and validate model results.
•Collaborate with Underwriting, Actuarial and Data Management to formulate business problems into modeling projects.
•Present to business partners and stakeholders.
•Assist in developing data pipeline for modeling projects.

We’re looking for someone who has:
•Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science or related fields
•Master’s degree preferred.
oCourses in Time Series and Multivariate analysis/modeling preferred.
oCourses in experimental design preferred.
•High proficiency in statistics and statistical inference.
•Experience in merging and preparing data for analysis.
•4-6 Years of experience
•Proficiency with supervised and unsupervised learning models such as Generalized Linear Models, Generalized Additive Model, Lasso, KNN, Boosting, etc.
•Familiarity with programming - R or Python – preferred.
•Familiarity with SQL preferred.
•Willingness to learn.
•Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience.
•Ability to work independently and as a team member.
•To qualify, all applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
