Director of Alternate Channels – Operations

$115,167 - $149,718 minimum starting pay

Job Level: Director

Shelter maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in geographic location, education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands.  Please remember that this range is the starting base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position.

What You Will Be Doing:

The role will provide strategic and operational leadership for AmShield and Haulers Claims, Underwriting, Operations, data and business insights, and supporting technology. Driving profitability, operational effectiveness, customer service, compliance, and sustainable growth through disciplined execution and cross-functional alignment.

What We're Looking For:

  • Excellent oral and written communication, project management, statistical analysis, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to assess data related to potential expansion opportunities.
  • Ability to understand differing viewpoints and work with traditional and nontraditional perspectives.
  • Ability to develop innovative products and services based on profitability and consumer needs.
  • College-level coursework in general insurance or business administration is typically required. College degree or equivalent job-related experience typically required. MBA preferred.
  • Five years of general insurance experience at the administrative or management level, with thorough insurance industry knowledge, required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Shelter Insurance Companies operations preferred.
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the job, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
