What You'll Do
- Develop algorithms for detection, classification, image analysis, and AI/ML applications.
- Design tools and methods for data analysis, testing, validation, and model improvement.
- Research and apply emerging technologies in AI, machine learning, and deep learning.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to move concepts from research to production.
- Document technical work and communicate results to a variety of stakeholders.
- Contribute to innovative solutions that enhance security screening capabilities.
What We're Looking For
Education
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field.
Experience
Early Career Engineer (0-2 Years)
- Academic, internship, research, or project experience in AI, machine learning, computer vision, image processing, or software development.
- Familiarity with algorithm development and data analysis.
Emerging Engineer (2-4 Years)
- Hands-on experience applying algorithms, machine learning models, or data analysis techniques.
- Experience developing technical solutions in academic or professional environments.
Experienced Engineer (5-8+ Years)
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and optimizing algorithms or AI/ML solutions.
- Strong technical expertise in machine learning, computer vision, image processing, or related disciplines.
- Experience mentoring and providing technical leadership is a plus.
Preferred Technical Skills
Experience with one or more of the following:
- Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
- Computer Vision & Image Processing
- Object Detection & Classification
- Deep Learning
- Python, MATLAB, C++
- TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras
- Windows and Linux development environments
- Explainable AI
Experience in aviation security, cargo screening, military systems, or threat detection applications is highly desirable.
Additional Requirements
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Must be eligible to obtain applicable U.S. Government security vetting.
