The Role
Partner with PMO and delivery leaders to assess and standardize PMO tools, processes, and reporting. Use AI tools to analyze project tracking, document requirements, support tool evaluations and rollouts, and drive adoption and process improvements across teams.
Summary Generated by Built In
Merkle is working to centralize and modernize how project and program management works across the organization. Right now the PMO function is fragmented — teams work in different ways, use different tools, and there is no single source of truth for how projects are being managed. This role exists to help change that.
You will be the operations team's primary partner to the PMO — someone who sits close enough to understand what they need, can identify where the gaps are, and helps drive the tools, processes, and solutions that move them toward a more centralized, consistent way of working. This is not a role for someone who wants to manage projects. It is a role for someone who wants to help a function work better — and who knows how to use AI to get there.

Job Description:
What You Will Do
- Build strong working relationships with PMO and delivery leadership to develop a deep understanding of how project management currently works across the organization — the tools, the processes, the gaps, and the frustrations
- Help define what a centralized PMO function should look like at Merkle — what standards, tools, and processes need to be in place, and what needs to change to get there
- Assess the current PMO toolset and identify where it is falling short — then work with the operations team to evaluate options and drive improvements
- Use AI tools to analyze how projects are being tracked and reported, surface inconsistencies, and recommend practical ways to standardize across teams
- Document current-state processes and requirements clearly so that the technical team can build or configure the right solutions
- Support the rollout of new tools or processes — helping the PMO function adopt changes in a way that actually sticks
- Act as a consistent point of contact for the PMO when they need operational support, tooling help, or process guidance
Who You Are
- You have 3+ years of experience in a business analyst, operations, or process improvement role — ideally with exposure to how PMO or delivery functions work
- You understand project management well enough to have an informed conversation with a PM or program lead — but your job is to improve how the function operates, not to run the projects yourself
- You have built and delivered solutions using AI tools — including Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, or equivalent. You have used AI to analyze processes, surface gaps, draft requirements, and generate outputs that would have taken others hours to produce manually. You have studied how these tools work well enough to know their limits and how to work around them. This is a demonstrated capability, not a self-assessment
- You are a strong listener and communicator — you know how to ask the right questions to get to the real problem, and how to translate what you hear into clear requirements and recommendations
- You are comfortable working across functions and building relationships with stakeholders who may be skeptical of change
- You are organized and follow through — people trust you to keep things moving
- AI, business analysis, or process improvement certifications are a plus
Nice to Have

- Experience supporting a tool evaluation, implementation, or migration
- Background in change management or process standardization across a large organization
