The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) reports into the Digital Modernization Sector and collaborates across organizational lines to deliver productivity-enhancing digital capabilities to our global employee base, as well as transformational projects for the corporation’s back-office systems, focused on AI and automation to drive significant efficiencies. The OCIO team strategically assesses, agilely deploys, and continuously manages innovative digital capabilities leveraging industry-leading partnerships and cost-effective deployment and management models.
The OCIO Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) is seeking a highly skilled AI Innovation Manager to manage a growing suite of AI-enabled and hyperautomation productivity and efficiency tools. This Manager will lead a team driving enterprise-wide impacting capabilities with an eye towards optimization at the business’ pace. Through collaboration with Leidos’ Chief AI Office, OCIO Service Delivery, and OCIO Strategy teams, this candidate will implement AI- and automation-focused capabilities, advancing progress of Leidos’ Enterprise IT Roadmap. This supports Leidos’ workforce efficiencies, IT optimization, and employee productivity goals.

Outcomes-Focused: This role requires a leader experienced in effective change management techniques and driving innovative approaches to yield outcomes. Leidos’ OCIO teams transform through establishing clear outcomes for enterprise capabilities, executing business process re-engineering (BPR), and facilitating the work through automation and AI to realize efficiencies.
Strategically Assessing Technologies: This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background and leadership skills to drive innovation and ensure continuous evolution in line with industry advancements.
Evolving through Modernization: This candidate is responsible for strategic alignment of service delivery elements with industry and employee demand signals, and delivers employee and enterprise system AI and automation capabilities quickly and safely through integration with our Corporate Information Security (CIS) organization.
Primary Responsibilities
Strategy and Leadership
Lead the AI-enabled and hyperautomation strategy for the organization.
Effectively manage budget against capability requests.
Team Management
Manage a team of automation and AI-enabling engineers and specialists.
Work effectively with OCM team to ensure successful adoption of AI tools.
Develop training programs and resources to enhance workforce skills and knowledge.
Modernization & Maintenance
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and define project scope.
Assess and maintain roadmap of prioritized future possible capabilities.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation and drive innovation.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
Monitor and report on the performance of automation and AI initiatives.
Effectively leverage OCM teams to communicate new capabilities in AI and automation to Leidos global workforce.
Compliance and Standards
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
12+ years of experience, specifically with 5+ in corporate strategic planning, automation, strategy, and execution.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
7+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Demonstrable experience building and capitalizing on strategic tech partnerships.
Proven problem solver and creative thinker who can make clear-headed decisions while managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong executive presence.
PMP or similar project management certification preferred.
Experience in IT strategic planning and competitive market positioning within large scale enterprises.
Experience with innovation funding and investment tracking.
Master’s degree or higher in Automation, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

Pay Range:Pay Range $148,850.00 - $269,075.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
