Position Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate closely with the VP of FP&A, domestic business leaders, and Department Managers to analyze the company's financial data. Reporting to the AgriSompo VP FP&A, the senior financial analyst will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and evaluating financial performance. This role entails working across departments to gather data, develop financial models, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, collecting data on financial performance and consolidating into complex reports, interpreting raw financial data to recommend changes to business process, build financial models to analyze possible business changes, gather information around business costs/expenses/activities to reduce overhead and increase profitability, and liaison between various departments within the organization.
- Interpret financial data to identify opportunities for process improvement and understand key business drivers
- Develop financial models to evaluate potential business initiatives
- Gather information on business expenses, and activities to optimize profitability and reduce overhead, acting as a liaison between departments
- Prepare and distribute monthly regional and departmental variance analyses
- Create and distribute quarterly regional profit and loss statements
- Assist in developing the Company’s annual plan and quarterly forecasts
- Collaborate with operational and financial leaders to explain monthly variances and quarterly financial statements
- Perform key reconciliations
- Conduct necessary research and analysis
- Manage additional accounting and analytical tasks as assigned by leadership
- Various other duties, as assigned
Position Requirements
Education
- Required – Finance or Accounting degree or similar related field or equivalent work experience.
Experience
- Required – minimum 5 years’ experience in a FP&A or other Finance function role.
- Required – minimum1 to 3 years of experience in utilizing tools like Tableau, Power BI or similar platforms for data visualization and insights
- Required – Advanced MS Excel skills
- Preferred – Insurance experience
- Previous experience using Anaplan preferred, though not required. Ability to quickly learn new planning system in support of budget/forecast processes.
- Previous track record of implementing technological efficiencies in the finance and accounting realm preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Proficient in the use of AgriSompo North America FP&A applications, which includes Anaplan, Excel, Word and SI planning software
- Communicate clearly, openly, and effectively with internal and external customers both verbally and in writing
- Working knowledge of GAAP accounting principles Strong analytical skills Attention to detail

Physical Requirements & Work Conditions
