Position Summary:

We are looking for an engaging and motivated individual to join the Agency Partnerships team as an Agency Partner Manager. In this role, you will lead partner acquisition and enablement strategies within your territory, serving as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of agency partners. You will focus on building trust-based, transparent relationships, ensuring smooth day-to-day interactions. As a trusted resource, you will identify and resolve challenges, supporting partners with solutions that drive their success.

This role reports to the VP of Agency Partnerships.

What to expect:

  • Drive Strong Partnerships: Build and nurture relationships with stakeholders, partner agencies, and portfolio leaders, ensuring ongoing alignment and open feedback channels.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner closely with Sales, Partner Sales, and Marketing teams to address inquiries, assist with sales processes, and overcome any strategic blockers. Ensure seamless collaboration on enterprise deals and the timely release of partner-related collateral that aligns with strategic initiatives.
  • Achieve Sales Milestones: Meet your quarterly sales goals by leading customers through a smooth, efficient purchasing process and providing top-tier solutions.
  • Be a Brand Ambassador: Represent Platform.sh at conferences and events, driving awareness and strengthening partner relationships.
  • Create Partner Resources: Own the creation of impactful collateral, playbooks, partner portals, and training materials that empower our partners for success.
  • Forecasting & Reporting: Prepare sales reports with insights into growth potential, sales volumes, and new market opportunities, helping to shape future strategies.
  • Understand the Market: Stay informed on industry trends, partner needs, and market terminology, tailoring your approach to match market demands.
  • Manage Escalations: Handle partner incidents and escalations with care, ensuring clear communication and timely resolutions.
  • Solve Problems, Build Solutions: Engage with partners by actively listening, addressing their needs, overcoming objections, and linking features to benefits to deliver optimal solutions.

What you bring:

  • Relevant Experience: At least 3 years of experience working with digital or marketing agencies, or similar Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). A proven track record of success with an existing book of partners is a plus.
  • Partner-First Approach: A passion for building strong relationships and a commitment to partner success, focusing on delivering the right solutions, exceptional experiences, and impactful outcomes.
  • Proactive Leadership: A self-starter mentality, treating your portfolio as a business. You thrive with autonomy and take full accountability for its growth and success.
  • Collaborative Mindset: A team player who excels in working cross-functionally, both within internal teams and with partner accounts, driving mutual success.
  • Adaptable Problem-Solver: Able to navigate challenges and setbacks with resilience, always finding solutions and pushing forward in our dynamic, distributed work environment.
  • Organized & Efficient: Skilled in prioritization and time management, ensuring you stay focused on what matters most.
  • Strong Communicator: Fluent in English and German, with excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage partners and internal teams effectively.
  • Strong Technical Understanding: Familiar with the software development lifecycle in digital agencies, including CI/CD pipelines, Git version control, and hosting infrastructure. Experience with VPS, managed hosting, and cloud services like Lambda functions or serverless architecture is a plus.
