Role Overview:
The Sales Trainee is a development role focused on building the foundational skills required to become a licensed Pest Control Consultant and successfully manage a sales territory. Through hands-on experience working with field sales teams and branch leadership, this role develops the necessary agronomic knowledge, customer relationship skills, and sales capabilities to progress into a Field Sales Representative position.
A Sample of What You’ll Do in this Role:
Become proficient in all aspects of the retail agriculture supply business and crop production
Assist field sales staff with customer service and day-to-day support activities
Build product and market knowledge to enhance credibility with growers
Support growers with agronomic insights and decision-making
Participate in training and development opportunities to build technical and sales expertise
Maintain a professional image in all customer and internal interactions
Develop strong working relationships with peers, leadership, and cross-functional teams
What You Bring to this Role:
Ability to obtain Pest Control Consultant license (expected within a defined training period)
Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems
Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Horticulture, Plant Pathology, Entomology, or a related field (preferred)

Compensation and Benefits:
- In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $70,304 - $80,000. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience.
