Job Purpose
We are seeking a results-driven Affiliate Specialist to build and scale Sourcefin's affiliate and referral programme. The successful candidate will own the end-to-end affiliate channel, from recruitment and onboarding through to activation, enablement, reporting, and optimization, driving qualified applications for our working capital, purchase order, contract, and trade finance products.
This role requires commercial acumen, hands-on experience with affiliate tracking and CRM tooling, and a sound understanding of South African financial services regulation as it applies to affiliate marketing. The Affiliate Manager will work closely with Marketing, Sales, Credit, Product, and Finance to deliver cost-efficient customer acquisition and measurable funded-deal growth.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Programme strategy & growth: Design, launch, and continuously optimise Sourcefin's affiliate and referral programme (commission structures, tiers, incentives, and budgets); build the channel roadmap and business case, deliver a repeatable playbook, and scale to an agreed number of active, revenue-generating affiliates.
- Recruitment, contracts & relationship management: Recruit, onboard, and activate affiliates aligned to Sourcefin's ideal customer profile, negotiate and execute agreements with Legal and Compliance; maintain accurate records of contracts, KYC, and commissions; act as primary relationship owner for top-tier affiliates with regular performance reviews and quarterly business plans; build enablement assets (decks, one-pagers, landing pages, tracking links, email templates, co-branded campaigns).
- Performance, analytics & optimization: Own channel KPIs (acquisition, activation, qualified leads, funded deals, revenue contribution, and CAC); build dashboards covering traffic, conversion, payouts, and ROI by affiliate; run A/B tests on creative, landing pages, and commission structures; identify underperformers and execute reactivation or offboarding; unblock affiliates by escalating product, application, credit, and operational issues.
- Compliance & governance: Ensure every affiliate engagement complies with the NCA, FAIS, FICA, POPIA, and Sourcefin's internal credit and marketing standards, including ongoing monitoring of affiliate communications and disclaimers.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with Marketing on integrated campaigns, content, and paid-media co-marketing; Sales and Credit on lead quality, SLAs, and conversion feedback loops; Product and Engineering on tracking implementation (UTMs, postbacks, platform integration, CRM data flows); and Finance on monthly commission reconciliation, payouts, and audit support.
Desired Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, Commerce, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years in affiliate, channel, or digital marketing, including 2+ years as an Affiliate Specialist or Manager owning a programme end-to-end, with a demonstrable track record of growing the channel against commercial targets (leads, revenue, or funded volume); SMME experience preferred.
- Strong commercial acumen, comfortable modelling commission structures, CAC, LTV, and channel ROI, with hands-on use of affiliate tracking platforms (Impact, Partnerize, Everflow, Tune), CRMs (HubSpot, Salesforce), and analytics tools (GA4, Looker, Power BI).
- Experience in SME lending, fintech, or another regulated B2B2C category is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal English, confident negotiator, with high ethical standards and a collaborative working style.
