Team Overview

The Financial Services Sales team is responsible for driving revenue growth, deepening client relationships, and expanding TransUnion's presence within the financial sector. The team partners with banks, lenders, fintechs, and other financial institutions to help them achieve their business objectives through data-driven solutions, risk management capabilities, and market insights. This role reports to the Sales Leadership team within the Financial Services business.

  • Develop and execute account growth strategies to achieve assigned revenue and retention targets within the Financial Services portfolio.

  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting to ensure visibility into business performance and future revenue opportunities.

  • Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with key client stakeholders, including executive-level decision makers and technical teams.

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue cross-sell and upsell opportunities by understanding evolving client business needs and challenges.

  • Deliver compelling presentations and solution recommendations that communicate business value and measurable outcomes.

  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to uncover customer objectives, challenges, and growth opportunities.

  • Collaborate with product, marketing, consulting, and subject matter experts to develop customized client solutions.

  • Create and execute strategic account plans that support customer retention, business expansion, and long-term partnership development.

  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, regulatory developments, and market dynamics within the financial sector.

  • Support contract negotiations, proposal development, and commercial discussions that contribute to revenue growth and customer satisfaction.

Required Knowledge and Experiences

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience demonstrating strong commercial and client management capabilities.

  • 3+ years of sales, account management, or business development experience within the Financial Services industry, with responsibility for achieving revenue goals.

  • Experience managing and influencing relationships with senior stakeholders, including C-suite and executive-level decision makers.

  • Understanding of financial services products, lending processes, risk management practices, or credit-related solutions to effectively position business value.

  • Knowledge of the credit reporting, information services, data analytics, or risk solutions industry is preferred and will support faster onboarding and client engagement success.

Required Technical Skills

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for business analysis, presentations, forecasting, and client communications.

  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms for opportunity tracking, pipeline management, and account planning.

  • Sales forecasting and reporting tools used to monitor performance and revenue projections.

  • Business presentation and virtual collaboration tools to support client engagement and stakeholder communication.

  • Data interpretation and analysis skills to translate customer information into actionable business opportunities.
