Job Description

This person will primarily support the Manager of Event Marketing Operations as it relates to marketing trade show management. 

This person will be responsible for the overall coordination and execution of all marketing led smaller scale trade shows, and larger trade shows as assigned. They will partner with the internal meetings team as appropriate to manage logistics, budgeting, and event strategies to ensure successful events across the Cardinal Health Pharmaceutical & Specialty Solutions Businesses. They will approve the design, layout, cost estimates and construction of all exhibits and displays. This role involves negotiating with vendors and service providers to manage costs and services related to exhibits.

This role informs and trains team members and internal show attendees, ensuring all event personnel are well-prepared and informed about the show they are attending. Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed for interacting with vendors, clients, and team members. This person will create pre-con presentation decks and be considered the main point of contact for the marketing and sales teams who are involved with and attend the shows.

This person will input trade show and sponsorship information into the iHub Compliance tool and will work together with the Compliance Team to ensure that all criteria is being met before Cardinal Health agrees to sponsor external events.

They will choose exhibit properties using an online portal and act as a main point of contact for all internal show attendees. They will reconcile budgets, pay invoices, maintain an expense tracking document and report outcomes and leads from shows. In some cases, this person will travel to trade shows to assist with set-up and tear down and may be expected to help staff the booth during show hours.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates knowledge of marketing disciplines and concepts in support of product marketing initiatives including but not limited to tradeshow coordination.
  • Exhibits strong organizational and influencing capabilities in matrix organizations. Demonstrates strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Adept at handling multiple complex projects and requests simultaneously under pressure to meet tight deadlines; detail-oriented with excellent follow-up, budgeting, organization and time management skills.
  • Leverages knowledge of trade show best practices, and has experience coordinating, reviewing and/or editing input from a variety of stakeholders within and across business units, involving contributions from sales, marketing, product teams, finance, commercial, legal, regulatory and operations.
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Prepares and reviews presentation decks, ensuring all pertinent information for the specific trade show is included. Ability to deliver compliant, professionally produced presentations within defined timeframes.
  • Ability to manage to an assigned budget.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in trade show production & marketing preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience working directly with strategic customers and leading groups preferred
  • Experience coordinating activities preferred
  • Project Management skills ideal
  • Attention to detail required
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects based on the required completion date
  • Experience working directly with customers is required
  • Experience working with sales teams is required
  • Ability to travel 20%

Anticipated salary range: $66,500 - $99,645
