As a data engineering advisor, you help develop solutions for collecting, integrating, consolidating, cleaning, storing and transparently mining data. You help develop, maintain, support and run computer applications and data pipelines, while ensuring the functional analysis, IT design, coding, fine-tuning and documentation of programs. You assist dedicated clients with various development initiatives that involve scaling data mining solutions and designing platforms that are adapted to business needs. Your projects and initiatives require extensive knowledge of your line of work. You use your analytical skills and detailed knowledge of the line of business to help solve complex business problems related to data collection and storage platform scalability. You analyze client and partner needs and help develop execution strategies and action plans taking into account the specifics of IT design for data management systems. You serve as a data management system resource person for various stakeholders. You interact with different stakeholders working in other fields to understand needs and ensure the solutions are aligned with the business objectives. More specifically, you will be required to:

Build and design data collection systems and platforms for a variety of initiatives.

Develop data pipelines, and integrate, transform and consolidate data from different systems in structures that are adapted to the context.

Implement, monitor, maintain and improve a wide range of systems that meet business needs.

Use various script languages and tools for storing and producing complex sets of data.

Develop algorithms, prototypes and proofs of concept within complex projects.

Identify opportunities to improve systems based on trends and behaviours, and recommend ways to enhance data management services.

Help develop procedures and document IT solutions. Prepare and deliver training for peers and users.

Bachelor's degree in a related field
